The agentic OS for labs.
Voquill is building the modern operating system for labs: an AI-native laboratory information system (LIS) that grows with the lab, developed on-site with the pathologists and lab staff who use it every day.
Backed by Y CombinatorOne OS for everyone in the lab.
Everyone in your lab, from the bench to sign-out, should feel the system was built for them. No one gets left out, and no one should have to settle for software that's good enough. We hold ourselves to the highest standard on every task in the lab, from the smallest click to the final report.
- Built around the diagnosis. Sign-out is where everything comes together, and where the LIS should help most.
- Room to grow. New clients, sites, tests, and billing rules should be something you can turn on, not a ticket you wait on.
- Every case on track. Getting the work done right and on time means seeing it as it happens.
- Fast for the work that happens every day. The LIS should never be the thing that slows the work down: every click, every scroll, every page load matters.
From voice to the core of the lab.
We started Voquill in March 2026 as an open-source voice dictation app. Most of us had spent years building pathology software, so labs were the first place we took it.
Selling voice to labs taught us that voice wasn't the real bottleneck. The LIS was. Billing, clinical processes, digital pathology, and EHR integrations were all changing fast, and the systems labs relied on weren't built to keep up, let alone work with AI.
So we moved on-site with a pathology lab in the US and started building a new LIS from the ground up, alongside the people who use it. By October, it was live across surgical, cytology, and clinical work for every pathologist and satellite lab.
Years at the leading edge of software and AI.
We've spent our careers building production software and AI, from pathology vision models and digital pathology platforms to enterprise AI and open-source research tools, and putting new technology to work the moment it's ready.
